Community Guidelines
We use these forums for fun just as much as we use it for work. As such, we ask that you respect your fellow members, send all trolls back to their bridges, and keep things here laaaaid back. The PixelCount community is still young, so it's up to each of us to help shape the sort of place we want to see this become.
Be your awesome self
People will respect you more, engage with you more often, and treat you like a real person if you be yourself here. Have the courage to be you. We think you'll have a much better time online when you stand behind your actual words.
Win friends and influence people
Get noticed! The PixelCount community is designed for sharing your passion for our games as well as for discovery, involvement, and personal recognition. Connect with the people around you. Talk about what you care about in a way that reflects who you are.
Tell it like it is
We're into transparency, honesty, and truth. Don't misrepresent yourself or lie about your identity, affiliations, or age. This community is based on the contributions of real people. Be one of them. Ask tough questions and reward the candor of others.
Have (good) fun
We're supporters of any activity that encourages the spirit of fun, so long as it doesn't hurt other people. Please don't harass, belittle, or namecall others. Posting overly sexual or violent material is a bit of a buzzkill as well. Be aware of other users around you. In short, don't act like a jerk. Those things kill conversations, just like in real life.
Be constructive with your feedback
Professional critics have something to teach us: they foster healthy conversation and debate without ever attacking people personally. Consider that when responding to others and ask yourself the question: would you say it to their face?
Spread the wealth
Make the community a richer place by sharing your experience and insight. You may have the perfect answer to someone else's burning question. This is one of the reasons why the PixelCount community is here.
No hawking
This is a community, not a football stadium. (Cue the UK vs US football debate.) It's okay to talk up the products or services you love, but only if it's relevant to the conversation. If you're here to plant a ton of links to your site without doing much else, your posts are likely to be removed by one of our esteemed Guardians.
Don't be naughty
Make sure you have the right to publish any content you post to the PixelCount community and don't violate the privacy of others.
Be fruitful, but don't multiply
Don't create multiple accounts to violate these guidelines, game the system, or harass and deceive other users.
No trolls
Nobody likes trolls. If you're not sure whether you're a troll, read up on it here. If you happen to have a troll encounter, please report them to a Guardian and send them back to their bridge.
Those boots were made for walking
If the PixelCount community isn't for you, there's always the door. No, not that one. That's the loo. The other one. We'll miss you, but we'd hate for you to stick around if you're unhappy.
Thank you for considering these guidelines which are, we hope, fairly chill and reasonable. As with any community, it's up to each of us to create and participate in open conversations that help shape and define the PixelCount community. Our hope is that by sharing our love of games we will grow more passionate, more wily, maybe even a little crazy, but always engaged and open to other voices.
Love,
PixelCount Studios
