Library Idea

It would be a good idea to have a nice library where the people can go and learn some more info, or you could insert some sort of system in the library where people can give you new ideas, like an ideas box. There could be an interactive little librarian, I always think a shy person would suit a librarian role better. You could make it so the library and other places are opened only certain days or times of day, and the librarian could switch between two characters, and when one is not working you can find them somewhere wandering and you can talk to them and build a relationship with them. I thought it would be a good idea, does anyone else think it is or have any more suggestions just let me know, I hope the developers see this one, thank you!

I think it's a nice idea, though I think game suggestions are pointless at the moment.

It's like telling someone with an almost done cake how much eggs he has to put in the dough. As far as I see the Apothecary and Ledger thread, they already have a written down concept of the basic contents and probably most of the stuff people would suggest right now is something they already planned to implement.

Don't get me wrong, suggestions are cool and it would be just awesome if some of the community's ideas really get in the game but (to stay in the cake metaphor) we need the base cake before we can tell them what toppings we want. Alpha and/or Beta phase of the game is in my opinion a great time for a Suggestion section here, or they ask us directly for ideas like with the apothecary and ledger.

I think now is a great time for ideas myself, before we start locking stuff down.
Am not sure on a public library, but perhaps some ancient library could be uncovered....

How about a public library, with a secret ancient library inside the public library that needs a special item or key to enter

A public library won't really fit the setting...an ancient one you find or someone who hoards books would suit better.

Maybe a traveling scribe could work? And since they are mobile it could be fun to try and find them each time. To 'gate' what you can get out of him, perhaps he only sells scrolls about things he has actually been to, so at first he doesn't have much yet.

A travelling scribe who will age and die and need to pass on his knowledge...

Scribe? Why not a wandering bard that tells his knowledge through songs?
Plus they're known to change the truth a bit, that'd make for great proverb and story tellers, to fit the theme of the game.
